e-news November 2006
In this issue:
When we began our monthly e-news, I admit there were a few raised eyes in the adila office. ..."hmmm, what news would that be exactly? We've only just opened" Well, what a difference a couple of months can make! We are glad to say it's now a case of what's the most interesting, useful, fun, brief (we like brief) items to include.
adila obviously stands for fair trade and environment friendly products, however another passion within our team is DESIGN. We are delighted that local schoolgirl/fashion designer Emily, took inspiration from our 'Funky Plastic' range, excited to launch the long awaited, one off, jewellery/art pieces from the Xhenoga design studio, and also a little smug that adila received an award for 'best PayPal site'. Design is not just about atheistic's, our online shop needs to function too, and we are relieved that it does.
The internet will always remain home to adila, however sometimes it's nice to get out and about. We have been invited by the Hitchin fair trade organisation to join the 'Hitchin Christmas Gala' (Market Sq, Sunday, Dec 10th) Please do come and browse for fair trade Christmas gift ideas, or just say hello, it's nice to put faces to email addresses. |

local schoolgirl/fashion designer, takes inspiration from adila ...
Emily (age 12) was set a school assignment to design an outfit using recycled materials. Taking inspiration from our 'Funky Plastic' range, Emily used the same technique to create her own catwalk show stopper. We often say "wear with confidence, wear with a conscience" and we feel that's exactly what Emily achieved.
Recycled hats off to you Emily!
