It's almost Christmas and at adila we just love it! Everything! Each celebrating in our own way... party frocks, riding the carousel in Covent Garden, hiking, or attempting to produce that perfect crispy duck (read blog for more). May you all have a great time too, in whatever way means Christmas to you. Merry Christmas and many, many thanks for all your support!
December also marks six months since adila opened it's doors. How's it going? We are extremely and quietly pleased, well not so quietly, we've had loads of great publicity (press page will be added in the new year). However, as with any new venture it's a case of always moving forward, with this in mind we would like to invite you to have your say, help us create the type of shopping experience you want, tell us what's important to you (click to find out how).
As for next year, we are already putting together the Spring 2007 collection. Look out for... sexy underwear in hemp (yes it can be sexy!), funky re-cycled tin jewellery, a collection of paintings from the talented artist Irvine Marx, and the new adila origami packaging from the Kunye project, functional, fun and very, very eco-friendly!

It's not always easy to find that truly special gift, the one that makes you want to wrap it in tissue and put it back in the box after using it. Not that you need to, the adila 'Sparkling' bags from Xhenoga look great hanging on the closet door, where they can be seen and appreciated.

Six months ago the challenge was to get the adila on-line store up and running. Now we've achieved our goal it's time to take stock, look at where we go from here. Improvements to the site? Additional pages? More information? New products and lines etc., and we would like to hear your thoughts. Email and tell us what you think so far, both good and maybe not so good?
Is there something we are missing which would make your shopping experience more enjoyable? Have you a good idea you would like to see included, a new feature? A mens range?

new 'origami' packaging ...
We have already purchased the adila packaging from a sustainable source, however we want to take it a step further, be a little different.
The people at Kunye have combined waste glossy magazines with the art of origami. The result is original, beautiful, handcrafted little boxes. Perfect to house the adila jewellery range and some of our smaller items.
We hope to expand and develop our packaging during 2007 and also offer a range you can purchase as gift boxes.
